Matt Bruening is born and raised in O’ahu, on the west side of the island — Makaha.

Inspired by what surrounds him, have it be people, architecture & nature, Bruening really incorporates this into all his designs but of course always starting with the person in mind.

With a main focus in resort like pieces, these garments are also meant to take a seat with you every where you go, and have a spot in your rotation whether it be with the daily staple and basics favorites you buy from season to season, or the updated version of pants and shorts you just cant live without no matter the time of year, or even the special pieces for that special day — Bruening can cover all bases from ready to wear, kitschy merchandise, one of a kind formal wear and every day polished basics and staples which are the timeless pieces he is known for.
